Call of Cthulhu
Sixth Edition
Call of Cthulhu is a cornerstone in my RPG library.
I'll be honest, character creation is a pain to get through for the simple difficulty of shifting around a crap-ton of points on a character sheet. However, it's also the easiest game on the planet to run and is capable of moments of very real tension.
Still, in this day and age, it's a tough game to play due to the new gaming culture which includes winning as a foregone conclusion.
I actually had a player state to me in a short-lived campaign, "What's the point if you can't win!?"
Sigh.
Final Rating: 10/10
Because no other system has yet to capture the feeling of Lovecraft as capably, and I loves me my Lovecraft. Still, I have yet to check out Trail of Cthulhu...

Call of Cthulhu Combat Reference Sheet v. 2.0
Perhaps the most popular sheet I've ever created!
"Anthony Holtberg (Ars_Mysteriorum) has compiled a very handy two page reference document that gives a summary of the combat rules for Call of Cthulhu. It's an excellent piece of concision and one that I know we'll be using at our Gaming table in the future."
